Yesterday we supported Faith, a King George student who is walking from Sarnia to London to raise cancer awareness. Errol Road students from all grades stood on the grass along Indian rd. to cheer her on as she and some supporters walked by. If you would like to learn more about Faith and her journey, you can find more information at this link:

Les couleurs
Today's project was collecting small things around the classroom to make our colour signs. We are also learning songs about colours you may find them at these links. Ask your child if they recognize any colours in their surroundings when they're home or running errands with you. Encourage them to use their French!

Bonjour!
We are introducing and reviewing some family vocabulary en français! Please send in a photo of your family this week so that we can learn new words and apply them to our families! We plan on making a photo album to put in our class library.
Merci beaucoup!

Notre jardin!
On Friday we went for a walk through Errol Road's beautiful jardin! Our students loved searching through leaves for vegetables and identifying some of the plants. We had some great conversations about the colours of plants and how they change as they grow. Ask your child what they remember from our day exploring the garden!

L'investigation des oignons
As our first Science exploration, we have been investigating onions that I brought in from my grandparents' garden. Our students were encouraged to guess what they were by using their senses. They looked, touched and smelled the onions. We used magnifying glasses to investigate closely and some of our students drew pictures of what they saw on our clipboards! We will continue to discuss our learning and observations in community circles and small groups this week.
